“FTL Series” Accompaniment CD Heads To 2015 Coalition of Lutherans In Black Ministry Spring Mini-Convocation

The “FTL Series” Accompaniment CD will be featured at the 2015 Coalition of Lutherans in Black Ministry (COLIBM) Spring Mini-Convocation, in Concord, NC, March 13-15, hosted by St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Convocation attendees will receive an update on the project’s activities, learn how the series can be incorporated in outreach ministries, and have the opportunity to hear and experience several selections from the upcoming 2-disc CD set. The "FTL Series" Accompaniment CD, is a unique music resource presented in the rich tradition of African-American cultural styles, which embodies and elevates the heritage of Lutheran worship. Songs of praise and thanksgiving found in the vast repertoire of the Christian hymnody, are transformed using elements of rhythm, timbre, and improvisation, to create a soulful union of music expressive of God's word, and refreshing to the spirit.
